Billiards Rules
1.Setting Up the Game:
The game is played on a standard rectangular table with 16 balls, including one white cue ball, one black 8-ball, and seven solid balls and seven striped balls.
2.Objective:
The objective is to pocket all of your designated balls (stripes or solids) and then pocket the 8-ball to win the game.
3. Breaking:
The game begins with all balls racked and the cue ball used to break the rack. Players choose either solids or stripes after the break.
4. Legal Shots:
On each turn, a player must first hit one of their designated balls with the white cue ball. If successful, the player continues their turn.
5. Sinking the 8-Ball:
After a player has pocketed all of their designated balls, they attempt to pocket the 8-ball. The player who pockets the 8-ball first wins the game.
6. Fouls:
Fouls include scratching (pocketing the white ball), failing to hit any ball, or hitting the opponent's designated balls. The opponent may place the cue ball anywhere on the table and continue play.
7. Called Shots:
Players must call the intended pocket and ball when taking a shot, especially for the 8-ball.
8. Winning:
The game is won by the first player to pocket all of their designated balls and then pocket the 8-ball.
